Abstract

The invention relates to a suspended seat, the construction type of which makes it possible to obtain a reduced seating and use height. It consists of a slightly oblique rear casing 1, integral with the base 2, the assembly being L-shaped. This casing acts as a rail for a trolley 4 which is movable in a practically vertical position, drawn back by helical springs 9 and 10 with adjustable stiffness 11 and assisted by a hydraulic double-acting dampener 12. A removable chair 5 is connected to this trolley 4 by means of two lugs 7 and of a double rack 6, enabling height adjustment. This seat can be used on land vehicles which have little or no suspension, and which provide too large a seating height with conventional suspended seats.
