Abstract

The invention relates to the manufacture of parts or products made from polymer materials. The device forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising two moulds 1 which are rigidly coupled together whilst enabling them to be positionally adjusted by varying the distance separating them, the said moulds being able to be moved about a common axis 9 so as to receive the elements intended to form the annular part to be obtained, as well as a pressing mechanism, and is characterised in that the moulds 1 are half-cylinders facing each other by their flat faces and the rigid coupling of which is provided by two plates 2 which are parallel to each other and form, together with the said half-cylinders 1, a rigid assembly, the outer side of which has the required profile, the said pressing mechanism consisting of a sleeve (ferrule) enveloping, along their perimeter, the half-cylinders 1 and the plates 2 and comprising at leat two elements, at least one of which is mounted so that it can move radially during the pressing operation. The invention applies especially to the manufacture of toothed belts.
