Abstract

The device is formed by the combination on the one hand of an endless screw 3 revolving slowly in a perforated trough 4 placed on the slightly inclined bottom 2 of a vat for holding the harvested grapes and located on a juice collector 5, and on the other hand of a stalk separator formed by a bladed shaft 6 revolving faster than the screw but situated in the same axis in the end portion. The device is for separating out foreign woody, metal and mineral bodies or leaves and bunches from grapes and grape pulp collected mechanically and pumped directly into the collecting containers of wine and spirit storehouses.
