Abstract

The invention is an apparatus for re-education and muscle development of the thigh muscles (quadriceps). This apparatus is formed from two frames ACBL and EFDL, having a common part L folding about the axis Y. Its simplicity and its design make it possible to work the quadriceps, the subject being either seated or lying down, in terms of average inner movement, and in terms of isometric, concentric and eccentric movement, and to restore sufficient tonicity to this muscle to enable the knee to regain its stability and its function. Knee postures may be performed if the knee is blocked in the extended position. Adjustments are easy and rapid to carry out. Once folded, the apparatus may be stored easily in a cupboard and be carried in a car boot. The fact that the application points of the weights Q and R are fixed makes it possible to use a smaller load than if the force were applied at O and P, by virtue of the lever of the third type constituting the apparatus. It may also be used for sports muscle development.

APPAREIL DE REEDUCATION ET DE MUSCULATION DU QUADRICEPS
La présente invention est un appareil de rééducation ou (et) de musculation du Quadriceps ( muscle antérieur de la cuisse )
Cet appareil a l'avantage de pouvoir rééduquer ce muscle dans ses courses internes et moyennes en contractions isométriques , concentriques et excentriques . I1 a , en outre , l'intérêt de faire travailler le Vaste Interne , muscle très important dans le verrouillage et la stabilité du genou
Les appareils ayant la même fonction existant à ce jour sont encombrants , lourds , onéreux et ne sont pas toujours très "physiologiques" ; de plus , ils font toujours travailler le muscle , le sujet en position assise , éliminent partiellement le travail du
Droit Antérieur de la Cuisse .Le travail dans les différentes courses n'est pas toujours prévu , ou , s'il est , les r6glages ne sont pas très rapides à faire
Cet appareil , objet de l'invention s résoud les inconvénients cités ci-dessus et apporte d'autres avantages . En tubes métalliques et légers > il est pliable et son encombrement est faible ; il peut donc se ranger très facilement . I1 peut être transporté et utilisé par le kinésithérapeute au domicile de son patient
Son emploi est simple , aussi bien sur une table de Rgéducation que sur un tapis de gymnastique ou sur le lit d'un patient I1 permet des réglages très précis des amplitudes articulaires dans lesquelles on désire faire travailler le muscle ( course interne ou moyenne ) .Il permet un travail concentrique , excentrique et isométrique du muscle dans chacune des courses choisies
Le thérapeute peut régler le point d'application du levier suivant la longueur du membre ou la localisation de la lésion du malade , ( par exemple au dessus dtun foyer de fracture , afin de ne pas risquer d'ébranler celui-ci )

Ce qui lui permet de coulisser le long de ( M ) .Une vis ( U ) ou un levier peut bloquer le système au niveau désiré suivant la longueur de la jambe ou la place des lésions

Le Kinésithérapeute règle l'angulation de l'appareil suivant le travail à fournir - grande ouverture pour in travail du quadriceps en course
Interne ou un travail en Isométrique en cas de lésions graves
