Abstract

A brake system is proposed, which is provided with a special control for a working cylinder. This may be performed electrically or by means of pressure medium; it is multi-circuited and has a combination of a switch element (3) with a relay (5). By means of the switch element (3) the faster or greater-magnitude control signal can be selected in each case, and by means of the relay (5) it is possible to monitor the connection of a pressure medium source (storage tank 7) to the working cylinder (9). The working cylinder (9) can preferably be used as a brake cylinder for a brake system.
