Abstract

The casing of the device contains a source of electric supply, a motor, and a brush carrier. The brush is carried on a longitudinal shaft which is driven by the motor. Radial bristles are grouped at the tip of the shaft to form the brush. A three-position switch mounted on the handle of the brush provides off/forward/reverse rotation of the brush. The casing which houses the batteries and motor is extended to cover one side of the brush, providing between 90 and 180 degrees of cover over the bristles of the brush. The toothbrush can be optionally battery or electric mains powered.
