Abstract

The tarpaulin assembly is for a vehicle comprising several articulating sections, with one sliding tarpaulin associated with each section. Each end tarpaulin is fixed at the outer end to the vehicle end wall. The sliding end of each tarpaulin is mounted on a sliding arch (14,15) on two travelling trucks (12) on opposite sides of the vehicle. Each pair of adjacent tarpaulins has one or more extensible portions (23,24) between them. These portions terminate at a sliding sealing arch (21,22) equipped with a fixing device for connecting to the mating end of the adjacent tarpaulin.
