Abstract

In the hinge jointing two parts of an articulated crane structure, the two parts (1,2) of the structure rotate about parallel axes (8,13). A further arm of rotation (15) allows the two parts (1,2) to be folded together. A system of locking bars may be installed between the two extreme arms of the hinge (9,9') when the two parts of the structure (1,2) are extended, so that their relative position is fixed. When the structure is folded a second pivot point (18) is formed in two bars which are rigidly fixed to the structure members (1.2).
