Abstract

A barge, (for the mechanical removal of floating pollutants and solid and liq. wastes, and) also for the treatment of oil-slicks on the surface of water in harbour zones allowing difficult access, as well as on flat bottoms or beaches, incorporates a combination of positioning of driving pts., division of the hull into tanks for combustibles and treatment prods., distribution of water tight compartments and a bridge with collecting basket and mobile collecting bucket, which ensures its effectiveness. The hull includes the housing of the propulsion engine and installation consisting of hydrojets, oil tanks, treatment prod. tanks and water-tight compartments in the middle and rear parts. It has a flat bottom and protective shielding. The bridge is fitted at its forward part with a lifting basket constituted by steel sectionals and expanded metal with lifting arms forming a ramp for transfer of wastes, followed by a mobile bucket placed on a stabilising stand. Dispersant can be pumped, discharged and broken up on the water surface. The barge carries a floating barrage.
