Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a barge capable of submerged cargo hundling operation, in which interior of the barge is divided into a plurality of compartments into which water can be freely pumped and from which water can be drained, and stem and stern portions of the barge are both projectedly formed as a water-tight floating tank, thus utilizing the intermediate area between these tanks as cargo handling deck, whereby stability of the barge when it is submerged into water and refloatedabove water can be improved.
