Abstract
The tram convoy comprises two identical carriages (1) coupled together to be driven on a track (21) by a bogie motor (3) located at the carriage junction. Bogie carriers (4) are located at the ends of the carriages. The wheels (5) of the drive bogie are larger than those (6) of the carrier bogie. The reduced wheel diameters allow the floor (10) to be close to the ground to assist passenger mounting and demounting via the doorways (12). Power for the motor and services is obtained from service compartments (7) which are supplied from an overhead conductor (8) via a pantograph (9).
