Abstract
The transparent cover is part of a box contg. the pipe and the cover is formed as an optical device, pref. a Fresnel lens to concentrate the sun's ray on the pipe. The pipe is pref. fitted with a radiation receiver clamped, saddlefashion, over the pipe's half-circumference facing the sun. The receiver pref. has wings extending radially from the saddle; it should be black-faced towards the lends and can be made of anodised aluminium or copper. The pipe is pref. copper or stainless steel.
