Abstract

The probe checks the presence and positioning of a load and provides automatic control of telescopic elements on a carriage for automatic stock transporter in a store. The threaded probe (8) is positioned so that its head (23) touches a load (C) on a transporter. The probe is moved by rotation of a nut (9) with teeth on its periphery and driven by a pinion (12) and gearing (11) from an electric motor (14). A slot (15) is the probe allows a claw (16) to engage to prevent its rotation. A guide element (19) supports a pulse counter (20) which measures probe movement. Conductors (21) pass this information to a calculator which checks movement of the telescopic load extractor element.
