Abstract
L'invention concerne les gyroscopes à laser. Dans un gyroscope à laser en anneau à quatre modes, les énergies lumineuses correspondant aux quatre fréquences distinctes du gyroscope sont appliquées simultanément à une seule photodiode 30 qui possède une caractéristique non linéaire, ce qui donne un signal électrique combiné qui contient des fréquences de somme et de différence des quatre fréquences. Après filtrage dans le filtre passe-bas 34, on utilise le signal de sortie de la photodiode pour déterminer la vitesse et le sens de rotation du laser en anneau. Application aux dispositifs de guidage à inertie.
