Abstract

The tracked tractor is steered by lifting these tracks clearof the ground by means of a circular plate actuated by a jack at the rear. Two driving wheels are actuated by jacks at the front. The rear jack can be coupled by a ball-joint to the plate which acts as a pivot for it, while the front jacks can act on a bar connecting the two wheels together. These wheels with a crawler track running round them if desired, can be centred on the pivot.
