Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour la gazéification des matières carbonées solides. Le procédé consiste à effectuer le craquage thermique d'une matière carbonée solide contenant des hydrocarbures, telle que le charbon, dans une cuve de réaction 2, en l'introduisant en même temps que de l'air ou de la vapeur d'eau, par une conduite 3, dans un bain d'oxydes minéraux fondus, à recueillir par la conduite 9 un gaz de craquage qui, par condensation, donne des matières lourdes utilisables dans l'industrie chimique, des matières liquides légères utilisables comme combustible, des hydrocarbures incondensables et du gaz à l'eau, à faire réagir une partie du résidu cokéfié restant en base de la cuve 2 avec de la vapeur d'eau injectée pour obtenir du gaz à l'eau, et à utiliser le reste de ce résidu cokéfié comme source de chaleur pour porter le bain d'oxydes minéraux à la température de craquage thermique. L'invention s'applique notamment à la gazéification du charbon.
