Abstract

The disconnector, with electromagnetic release, is triggered by short circuits and overloads. An additional pair of contacts is connected in series with the release's coil. A resistor is connected with parallel with the release's coil and the additional pair of contacts. The main moving contact is mounted on one arm of a pivoted lever whilst the additional moving contact is mounted on its second arm. The resistor is connected to the pivot axis of the lever. The additional pair of contacts are formed by a bimetal element.
