Abstract

The adjustable self-anchoring hanger (10) is for utilisation in the construction of suspended ceilings. The feet of the hangers locate stirrups (20) which in turn support a frame for suspended panels. The hanger may take the form of a vertically elongated rectangular plate with inclined flaps (12a, 12b) providing anchorage, and the adjustment is provided by varying the position of the stirrup (20). The stirrup (20) may comprise an 'L' shaped piece, may be located by alternative horizontal slots (16) in the hanger (10), and may be fixed in place by a spring clip.
