Abstract

Matériau composite du type carbone-carbone et procédé pour sa préparation. Le matériau comprend une matrice de carbone et des fibres de carbone formant renfort, cette matrice et ces fibres étant constituées par un carbone sensiblement amorphe et formant entre elles une interface sans interposition d'une tierce substance. Le carbone de la matrice est optiquement anisotrope tandis que celui des fibres de renfort est optiquement isotrope. Ce matériau présente une plus grande résistance à la flexion et une perméabilité aux gaz très faible. Moules pour la chimie des hautes températures, revêtements pour l'industrie de l'énergie atomique et substances à application médicale (prothèses d'os, de dents, etc.)
