Abstract

The maize harvesting machine of the main patent, has a chain driven cutting mechanism with two cutter wheels rotating in opposite directions. The housing contains a symmetrical base plate (4) from which project upwards two bosses (6, 7) forming housings for bearings (8) for spindles (9) carrying the cutting wheels, also the upper chain sprocket (10) and the cutter drive gear wheels (11). The plate carrying the bearing housing can be rotated so that alternative conveying channels can be used.
