Abstract

Dans cette installation de filtration destinée à éliminer ou décomposer les substances malodorantes entraînées dans l'air vicié issu par exemple des installations de traitement des corps d'animaux après l'abattage, du type qui comprend une masse filtrante 1 contenant des micro-organismes et constituée par exemple par de la terre, du compost ou une substance analogue, de préférence enfermée dans une enceinte et munie d'une aspersion d'eau 27, l'air vicié étant introduit par une conduite 14 et réparti par des canaux 12 et un lit de gravier 2, on introduit une quantité d'oxygène additionnelle, par exemple par la conduite 19 et les tubes perforés 18, de manière à reconstituer dans la masse filtrante une atmosphère contenant une proportion d'oxygène à peu près équivalente à celle de l'air atmosphérique et qui est favorable à l'activité des micro-organismes.
