Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'alignement pour fibres optiques, mécaniquement précis, réduisant les pertes de transmission de lumière et de fabrication simple. Chaque contact 30 du connecteur utilise trois sphères 94 de même diamètre définissant entre elles un espace intercalaire triangulaire dans lequel est disposée l'extrémité d'une fibre 36. Les sphères 94 sont en contact réciproque dans l'enveloppe 98. Lorsque deux contacts sont accouplés, les sphères 94 s'imbriquent réciproquement les unes entre les autres, ce qui réalise un alignement latéral précis des fibres optiques 36. L'invention trouve son application dans le domaine des télécommunications par fibres optiques.
