Abstract

The solar energy heater has a tube, contg a liq., which is divided into two parts. The first part acts as an evaporator, the liq. taking in solar energy as it evaporates, a and the second part is a condenser where the liq. condenses thus giving up its heat energy to its surroundings. The evaporation of the liq. is facilitated by covering the evaporator with an absorbent layer, providing a reflector to concentrate the rays onto the evaporator and enclosing the evaporation section in a glass jacket and producing a vacuum inside the jacket. The object of the improvements is to increase the efficiency of the seal between the jacket and the tube.
