Abstract

The locking mechanism is used for a motor vehicle bonnet. It has a lever spring loaded in a locking direction. The locking hook (6) connected to a lever is connected to another locking hook (5). Both locking hooks are held on a locking bar (7) on the inner sides of the hood. The axis (11) parallel to the hinge, the locking hooks (3, 6) and the locking bar (7) are arranged in a common vertical plane. The locking bar is held in channel shaped end fittings on the inner sides of the hood. A centring element (22) is used to guide the hood into correct position for locking.
