Abstract

Dispositif de freinage pour moteurs à pistons à mouvement alternatif et à quatre temps qui, pour la commande de chaque soupape d'échappement, comportent un vérin de commande hydraulique actionné par un arbre à cames et un vérin de manoeuvre. Les vérins de manoeuvre 14, 14a, 14b, sont des vérins étagés et à tous les conduits de distribution 13, 13a, 13b; 21, 21a, 21b est associé un organe de distribution commun 15 au moyen duquelles vérins de manoeuvre peuvent chacun être mis en communication avec un autre vérin de commande 11, 11a, 11b et, en même temps, seuls les grands pistons 17, 17a, 17b des vérins de manoeuvre peuvent être soumis à l'action du fluide. L'invention est applicable notamment à des véhicules automobiles.
