Abstract

A false twist texturing machine comprises a number of work stations. In each station there is a feeder for the yarn, and a first drafting arrangement for the yarn. There is also a heater, a cooling zone for the heated threads, a false twist texturing spindle and a second drafting arrangement. There may also be a device for thermal refixing with a third drafting arrangement immediately above the winder. The machine has a central frame with the section of a "T", carrying on its vertical member, the texturing spindle, the second drafting arrangement and the take-up arrangement whilst its horizontal beam carries the first drafting arrangement, the heater and the cooling zone. The feeder with the supply of yarn is assembled approximately in line with the free end of the horizontal beam, so that between it and the vertical members of the frame there is a zone giving access to the personnel. Esp. suited to processing standard yarns at high speeds whether part stretched or unstretched. The machine can be serviced conveniently maintained easily and moreover is very versatile. All driven components are arranged close together.
