Class 120(2) A machine for cabling or doubling cords as claimed in the parent Specification has the supply spindles mounted with their axes inclined at an angle above the horizontal that is not greater than 45 degrees to facilitate the exchange of full for empty bobbins. Yarn from bobbins on belt-driven supply spindles 5, 6 passes through flyers 9, 11 and guide eyes 10, 12 to a common guide, then between rollers 15, 16, 17 to the cabling bobbin 21. Cabling twist is in the opposite direction to the singles twist.
