Abstract

The detached house construction system utilises a lightweight prefabricated three-dimensional cell, and a peripheral supporting structure. The assembly of cell, framework and structure can form a living space above the cell, and the roof can be completed before the floor at ground level. The cell may be delivered to site with all the openings locked up. The cell is pref. ready fitted when delivered to the site, needing only connections to main supplies. The cell may have a wood or metal frame. The wall panels being such that service conduits are enclosed.
