1,065,281. Multi-storey buildings. SUSPENDED STRUCTURES Inc. June 1, 1964, No. 22623/64. Heading E1A. A suspended module building comprises a generally vertical service column 10, 12 mounted on the ground, cantilever support means 38 mounted on the column 10, 12 substantially above the ground from which independent enclosed room units 26 to 30 are suspended, the service column 10, 12 being connectible to service facilities in the enclosed units. The units 26 to 30 are removably connected to the support means. Each unit may be independently suspended from the support means. An elevator shaft within the wall 10 has access doors 18 to the floor elements 14 with openings 24 thereon from the room units. A stair well and a shoot for service facilities are also within the wall 10.
