Abstract

The fire extinguisher head is in the form of a pistol, attached to the container by a flexible hose. The pistol is plastic and comprises a body (5), grip (2) and front trigger (30). The inlet (6) for the powder or liquid is at the rear, directly in line with the outlet (3). The trigger operates a spring loaded valve (16, 20) by means of a rod (17) formed integral with the valve plug (13) and sliding in a guie (15). The valve plug has a tear-drop shaped streamlined profile which ensures a smooth flow of the contents past the seat.
