Abstract

A shutte-less loom includes two weft pickers the first one of wich is attached to one end of a first belt which advances the first picker from e.g. the left hand edge of the warp to the centre, and the second one of which is attached to a second belt which advances the second picker to the centre of the warp to pick up the weft from the first weft picker and pull it to the right hand side of the warp. Each belt is wrapped around an associated rotationally oscillating wheel to alternately advance the belt into the warp and refract the belt from the warp. Each belt is guided during its movement by a track and an arrangement is provided for holding the belt against the track. Holding the belt against the track guiding it reduces vibrations, thereby ensuring a more uniform picking of the weft and a higher quality woven fabric.
