Abstract

The two brake circuits are supplied via separate brake pressure reservoirs for fully independent operation and have separate brake modulator valve elements in parallel bores in the modulator housing. The ends of the valve elements are set against the reinforced thrust face (46) of an elastic pressure cam (42) whose other face is half cylindrical (44) so that it forms a floating cam to equalise the modulation effects on the two valve elements. The cam is twisted by a mechanical linkage to the suspension, so that the two brake circuits are modulated w.r.t. suspension loading.
