Abstract

A multiple circuit brake system is proposed, in which a pneumatic and an electric brake circuit each supply the front axle brakes and the rear axle brakes in an overlapping control. For control of the brake pressure, a pressure control valve (11, 25, 38) is used, which ensures that on the one hand the control circuits are always in use and that on the other the pressures entering the respective brake cylinders balance one another out. In this way all the brake circuits are always operative and an operating check can be carried out during any braking. <IMAGE>
