Abstract

A rotor for use in centrifugal type separators for separation of emulsions and deposits, has a drum with a series of cone shaped discs having beams attached directed outwards from the cone centre to the periphery with spaces between the adjacent discs through which separable liquid is fed to the cone disc stack and having devices to allow removal of precipate and separated liquid. Each cone disc (3) has at least two attachments (16) which support the adjacent disc (3) and which form a gap of at least the height of the beams (15) between adjacent cone discs (3).
