Abstract

The reciprocating drive is for a mechanism distributing items, particularly to machine tools, having a shaft acting by means of cam and rollers on a member gripping the items and working in a straight line. The shaft has fixed to it a cam(20), against which there bear, at diametrically opposite points, two rollers(15, 16) mounted on a slide (11) moving to and fro in a straight guide. The slide is coupled to the gripping member(1) by a linkage with pivoting arms, and the rollers are at a constant distance apart. The cam can be in two sections, one for each roller, adjacent to each other.
