Abstract

The chain locking device for jewellery has a double link (2) whose length corresponds to that of two links of the chain and a partially rotatable member (3) pivoting about a pin (4). The double link has a central portion (5) which seats the partially rotatable member, the central portion having a stepped bore (6, 7) whose smaller diameter portion is threaded to receive one end (8) of pin (4). The upper end of the pin is received in the larger diameter portion (6) of the stepped bore and in a bore through the hub of the partially rotatable member (3). The upper portion of the bore through the partially rotatable member is enlarged to receive the head (12) of the pin (4), a spring (15) being housed in this portion of the bore.
