Abstract

The fastener for a piece of jewellery, such as a necklace, chain, bracelet or such like, consists of a ring (1) with a hole into which passes a ring on the end of the jewellery, with a lock (7). The lock (7) consists of a bar pivot mounted on the ring (1). The free end of the bar has a protuberance (9) which fits into a cavity (4). The outerside surface of the lock (7) has a stud (10). A safety clasp (11) consists of two parallel arms and a centre piece, with a hinge axle.
