Abstract

The post is used for supporting one or more traffic signs and/or publicity placards and comprises a tubular pole provided at the bottom with fixing means, e.g. a threaded bolt, for securing it to a socket fixed in the ground. The top of the pole has a truncated neck to which a shaft for extending the length of the pole is fixed. Each traffic sign etc. has a socket part fitting over tapering spacer elements stacked on the pole to fix the sign at the required height, and has a clamping plate over the shaft. A cap is screwed in place at the top of the assembled pole, to hold the signs in place. Each of the signs comprises a profiled frame, to which two side panels are fitted.
