Abstract

The resistance heating element comprises at least one resistance wire (3) wound into an open spiral and embedded in refractive cement (2). The latter is positioned in a channel which is formed at the bottom of a flat metal plate forming the radiator surface, with outputs for the resistance wire at the ends of the channel. The metal plate is made from steel or aluminium and the major part of its surface has a corrugated profile, with a U shaped channel at the bottom, so that the upper longitudinal edge of the channel forms a heat exchange surface in contact with the refractive cement (2) in which the resistance wire (3) is embedded.
