Abstract

The inner sole comprises two thin sheets (1, 2) which are joined by means of thermoplastic (3) which is injected between them in a mould. The shape of the mould corresponds to the inner sole so that after moulding the sole is curved (4) and has a fold or bump (5) at the arch and an arch support (6). The front part (7) of the sole is supple while the back part, in the region of the arch (8), is rigid. The thermoplastic is injected through a hole (9) in the lower sheet (1).
