Abstract

An easy chair made from three heat formed transparent plastic sheets of uniform thickness, superposed one on the other, to give a modern design which is simple to manufacture. The base (3) is formed to give front and rear feet, with a curved section between. An intermediate sheet (2) is shaped to fit onto the base and overhang each side. This acts as a strengthening piece for the top sheet (1) which is contoured to form the seat and back of the chair and give adequate support to the body and legs. Joining (4) is by screws or a suitable adhesive.
