Abstract

The multi-station or main cylinder (22) forms the basis of several configurations of printing press which can be built up around it by the assembly of selected modules. Minimally, the main cylinder is combined with a lower and an upper single-station cylinder (20). In one configuration, a laterally registered off set plate secured to the upper cylinder cooperates with blankets secured to each station of the main cylinder to print sheets fed through the gap of the main and lower cylinders. In another configuration sheets are printable from plates secured to the main cylinder and a blanket secured to the bottom cylinder.
