Abstract

The system is used to signal a vehicle immobilised due to accident or subjected to severe decelerations. There is a heavy mass of metal (1) mounted on a shaft (2). This acts on a magnetic element (3) and a flexible strip (4), fixed to the case. There are relays (5), (6) connected to the central flasher (7) and a long life battery (8) which supplies the necessary feed power. The central flasher, when put in operation, also acts on an electromagnetic device (9) which opens the supply line from the normal vehicle battery (10). The device can be used also for a vehicle immobilised by fog.
