Abstract
The spark gap for a lightning conductor system is designed to reduce the deterioration of the gap elements due to arcing over the insulating washers. The gap is in the form of two electrodes facing each other, their perimeters being isolated by an insulating screen. The electrodes (1) and (9) are thickened at their centres (3) and perimeters (1) and spaced by three washers. The two (6) and (7) in contact with the electrodes are of some insulating material and have an 0.
