Abstract

The bogie has two jaws closing on a cable which can be supporting or tractive. These jaws can be uncoupled. There is a cam on a central shaft, which carries a balance. One end of the balance carries a roller which is free. The other end carries a suspension device for the cabin. The bogie has the usual type of grooved wheels which roll on guide and support rails in stations and are under electrical control. The weight of the rail pivots the balance and cam to operate a telescopic device and move the jaws apart. Insufficient clamping force causes the free roller to actuate a brake.
