Abstract

The mechanism is intended for use in the degreasing of metal machined parts. A feed hopper receives the machined parts to be treated. These parts are fed into a cylinder which is fitted with a screw conveyor which passes the parts into a hollow cone which is also fitted with a conical screw conveyor. The hollow cone contains a treatment liquid. The conical screw conveyor passes them the parts to a similar treatment cone which passes them to a further treatment cone which finally discharges the parts. The screw conveyors all turn about a common horizontal axis. At the side are electrically heated treatment liquid reservoirs.
