Abstract

Two parts, the outer container and the inner packing, are made from cardboard and glued together. In use, this blank is erected by folding up the sides, and joining these to end flaps to form a box. At the same time, the inner part is erected by folding over several sets of tabs (18, 19) in the bottom, these interlocking to give support points. The product rests on these, having clearance underneath and at the sides. Finally, similar tabs (23, 25) are folded down and locked over the product, holding it in place. The lid (5) is then sealed down, leaving clearance underneath.
