Abstract

The method of providing wire ending with an electrical contac ting area is without soldering. The walls of the 'U' are cut at their upper end into a sawtooth form which are bent over to pierce any oxide or insulating layer on the wire and clamp it into position. The tail of the lug may be further extended to provide a second 'U' shaped peice without the sawtooth edge intended to grip the cable insulation.
