Abstract

The frame comprises several ribs fastened round a support rod and each comprising an inner section linked with the end of the rod and an outer section linked to the outer end of the inner section to swivel in the same plane as the latter. The inner rib section is connected to the slide opener which is movable along the support rod by a stay which acts as a guide rod so that in the collapsed position the inner section of the rib lies parallel alongside the support rod whilst the outer rib section is folded back onto the inner section. On moving the slide opener along the support rod theinner rib section is swivelled out and up into the upper open position by the stay. The outer rib section has a flexible sprung steel wire which is fastened at its outer end to the inner end of the outer rib section where it is anchored by its other end to the associated stay.
