Abstract

Blender for diluent and fruit-containing syrup provides precise portions by means of a housing whose centre bore is hunged at both ends to enclose a chamber which can be vented at one end through a valve in one bung and drained at the other through the bung at the far end of the bore. The cooled water diluent enters the chamber through an entry higher up than the entry or entries provided for the viscous syrup specified. Bores lead from these respective entries at right angles to the chamber axis and pass through the housing and accommodate hollow pistons, each with outlets for the respective fluids. The springs opposing the piston movement thrust off the lid on the housing. The pistons should travel along machined guide ways provided on crosspins for the purpose.
